Mouse Trapped

I heard a squeaking noise and looked to the kitchen where Jasper had a mouse dangling, feet first, out of her mouth. Louise wanted to know what was going on and doggedly followed Jasper everywhere she went, and Jasper growled in return. If it was already dead, it wouldn’t have bothered me so much, but it was wiggling and squeaking and caught in a death grip by my 15 pound cat. Being indoor cats, Jasper & Louise havn’t had much experience hunting real, live animals. I couldn’t pick up the cat due to my “gallon of milk” weight limit on lifting due to my back surgery. So I gave her a couple jabs in the side and she finally dropped the mouse. I scooped it up with anapkin and dropped it outside in the grass.
