The specimen container wasn't a jar, it was just the first thing I could find to put it in to transport to L&D. I'm not sure how one humanely deals with an aborted fetus. Standard practice with any aborted tissue is to put it in a specimen container and send it to pathology. I honestly have no idea what happened to it after they went to the OB department.
