Vioxx verdict absurd

This story about a jury who found Vioxx responsible for the death of a man suffering from heart disease since 1978 infuriates me. Another example of how health care cases cannot be juried by the general public who are untrained in not just heathcare specifically, but also scientific principles.

Medical records show this man took Vioxx for only one week, and stopped 3 weeks prior to his death. He had been suffering from known heart disease since 1978 and died in 2001.

What is the point of even trying to practice medicine or scientific research when these are the rewards people are getting for crying “victim.”

It seems everyone is always looking for someone else to blame for their own bad genetics, poor living and stupid choices in life.
